Burger With a Water View

Burger With a Water View
It's a little strange,  we live between a giant bay and the Pacific Ocean, yet don't have too many places to get a burger and a water view.  Now, picky as I am about trying to eat mostly local, organic foods, occasionally I'll toss that out the window for a combination of other factors.  Great ambiance, views of sailboats, decent margaritas, and friendly staff, can all make up for a burger that's not grass fed.

Granted, I haven't checked recently, but last I asked, the Cat and Fiddle burger was not as squeaky clean as I'd like.  The bun is white, the accompanying fries, hit or miss.   BUT, it's a very tasty burger all the same.  And, tasty condiments & extras like avocado, bacon, chipolte sauce, etc.  can help you forgive the Cat and Fiddle for not ponying up for the likes of Dave Evan's Marin Sun Farms beef.

As with all my favorite spots, I'm leery to share them.  This pub is tucked out of tourist view in Sausalito, in a complex shared with Cafe Trieste.  Which, IS flooded with tourist and cyclists all weekend as it sits on the street side of the building.  You have to go AROUND the building, to find the Cat and Fiddle.

If you're craving a simple sandwich, decent seafood, or a giant burger,  check out this lively pub.  It's a great place to eat alone as well.  The bartenders will welcome you.  Some nights, even the friendly owner is at the bar.
