West Marin
You ever been to heaven? Driving out to West Marin is like heading to the moon. Rolling hills lead down to wide open cow pastures near the Pacific. How many places in America give you cows by the ocean? Thanks to MALT, Marin Agricultural Land Trust, much of this land is now protected and must be used for farming/agricultural ventures.
You'd be lucky, to find work in West Marin, and not have to commute, as it is either a windy drive down Rte 1, or a trek through traffic towards 101, all total about an hour 15 from San Francisco.
We should stop talking about it now - about the incredible scenery, local foods, tiny towns, vast beaches, roaring waves, dramatic landscape...
Ah but the people are friendly. And tourists are welcome. If, they can find the one-horse towns.
